We are GRANT G1+ Accredited Installers. This scheme provides us as installers to offers an additional 3 years’ warranty taking the total to 5 years, for vortex condensing boilers. Grant supply us with training for new equipment and excellent product back up to complement there award winning range. Our customers can be confident that a GRANT appliance will be installed to a high, reliable, and efficient standard. We are also qualified to install unvented hot water cylinders/ improving the quality and pressure of the water to your whole house. As part of an installation we can include controls that will allow you to operate your heating, hot water and desired room temperature remotely. Bunded Oil / Storage Tanks

Installation

As well as being on call for emergency pump outs, we offer installation, relocation and disposal together with pipework and tank equipment upgrades. Our oil tank manufactures of choice are Harlequin and Deso.

Groundworks

Quite often a new bunded tank requires base alteration to comply with current regulations. We can supply and fully install raised slab bases or a poured concrete construction.

FAQ / Useful Information

  • I have run out of oil, what do I need to do?

    If you have run out of oil, please telephone your supplier to refill your tank, and inform us as soon as they have delivered to you, so that we can bleed the oil supply to your equipment and get you going again. DO NOT attempt to relight your equipment yourself due to health and safety.

  • My AGA/Rayburn needs a service, do I need to do anything before the engineer arrives?

    If your AGA/Rayburn is booked for a service, please ensure you turn it off in the correct way the night before our engineer is due to attend your property. These appliances are very hot, and cannot be serviced unless they are given time to cool down to a safe temperature. If you need guidance on switching off your cooker, or you would like a reminder to do so prior to your service date then please make this known at the time of making your booking with us.

  • What do I do if my AGA/Rayburn has gone out?

    In the event that your AGA/Rayburn has gone out for any reason, but you have not turned it off yourself, you must switch off the oil supply at once, and telephone us to relight it for you. This will ensure that burner does not overflow with heating oil, and we can relight it again safely for you. Please note that regular servicing will help to prevent this from occurring.

We are an OFTEC registered company, and all of our engineers are OFTEC qualified. We abide by all of their current regulations and guidelines. OFTEC Regulations ensure our company and our team are regularly inspected.

South Hams Plumbing and Heating are now happy to offer fully RHI compliant Renewable energy solutions via the Grant G- cert scheme. If you generate heat for your home from a renewable source and the installation is completed by an MCS certified installer, (subject to a site survey), you could be eligible to apply for the RHI scheme.
